Thank you for taking the time to visit my personal home page. If you have found your way to my sight, I assume that you have met me and already know something about me. I offer the following information to help you understand more about me and my ministry.

Daryl Greene Ministries:
A ministry of spiritual empowerment and practical advice for those who are disabled, and for all those who face challenges in life and society.

I provide books, magazine articles, newspaper columns and other resources. I also lead seminars and workshops on pain management, how to have a positive attitude under difficult circumstances, family and pastoral care giving, and encouraging ministries of inclusiveness for and with the disabled. I also work with children and youth, and with public access television to raise disability awareness.

On this web site, you can learn about my worship events and seminars, as well as read my bi-monthly newsletter. You can also go to my publisher's website, www.densmorereid.com, to learn more about my books, columns, and magazine articles.

Personal Backgroud

I am now a resident of Richmond, Indiana.

I was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and grew up in Columbus, Ohio. I am a graduate of Western Michigan University and Andover Newton Theological School. After my ordination in 1983 by the United Church of Christ, I served churches in Kansas, Ohio, and Wisconsin for 16 years. I completed my Doctor of Ministry Degree at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 1997.

At the same time, I was born with a rare and progressive neurological disease which first manifested itself in the loss of central vision. It has now progressed to the point where I am almost blind. It makes walking very difficult, and I contend with chronic pain every day. In 1999, I was called into a new ministry of spiritual empowerment for those who face health challenges and chronic pain, sharing what I have learned from my academic research and personal experience.

My ministry also extends beyond the Church.

Since 2004, I have visited over 1000 children in their classes to help facilitate Disability Awareness education in the Richmond Community Schools.

I currently serve as President of the Richmond Community Council for Disability Awareness. Since March of 2005, I became the host for a television show “A Closer Look: Being Differently Abled in the 21st Century”, which is produced by Whitewater Community Television (WCTV) of Richmond, Indiana.
